The Light of Wellness Awards recognize individuals for their accomplishments in promoting health and wellness at their workplace. The awards are presented annually in the Spring at a ceremony in Des Moines.
The 2011 Light of Wellness Awards are made possible in part by the Iowa Health System.
There are three categories:
- Individual (for personal life style changes that result in significant health improvements)
- Leadership (for wellness managers who inspire other employees to join in the wellness effort and thus impact the overall health of employees), and
- Program (for wellness programs that positively impact employee health outcomes and potentially achieve national award recognition.)
Winners are recognized at an awards dinner with a custom crystal award, award certificate and a copy of the award winner video.
